George Bernard Shaw said, "Some people travel third class because there is no fourth, but I travel first class because there is no double first!" We have found the, "double first" in your delightful cottage. Thank you so much David for the warm welcome and all your care and attention which has made our holiday so memorable.

"Hue an' cry, hoond an' horse - ca' to the frae, for the Scots hae been Rotbarie way..." But we came as peaceful explorers and the riches of Northumberland have exceeded all our expectations. So have the delights of our lodgings in The Pele Tower, where all arrangements bare witness to care and consideration. A special word of thanks for the abundant travel information supplied in the house files - A great service for the tourist, and for the fascinating documentation of the tower itself.

Well, we've had a really great holiday. The Pele Tower is, and has everything you could wish for: We are not sad about leaving - 'cause we're coming back next year!

First week of our honeymoon and what a fabulous way and place to spend it. Much thought put into this place with some great little touches. First time in Northumbria, did all the sites around the county. NT passes have come in very useful. Both really enjoyed Cragside. I enjoyed the castles up the coast. Spent a lot of time just driving around. Great pint of Castle Eden (thanks David) at The Star Inn. Thanks for a very memorable week!

Dear David just like to say thank you so much,
for giving this place your own personal touch.
The fire, the welcome, the scones and the flowers,
the comfort we've felt for our holiday hours.
The trip to "The Star" to see Vera and friends,
then back home again round a myriad of bends!
We've walked and we've eaten so well every day,
and feasted on beauty through all of our stay.
We arrived filled with tension and worry and woe,
but we're happy, relaxed and renewed when we go!
